Re: Death Guard 2nd Grand Company
Whoa those are cool! I really like the schome you have...but...I have one suggestion. The back packs look too 'shiney' and it jars with the simple mat looking marine. I think you should do one of two things, either paint the majority of the back pack in your armour colour OR add more depth to the colour with washes and make them more dull like the cannon on your vindicator and they would work much better. Having said that its a MINOR thing on some awesome models! Rep heading your way sir

Really crisp paintjob and great bone colour - what's the recipe?

It is very good, but it's far to clean and timid looking for my tastes.

Re: Death Guard 2nd Grand Company
I think the photographs aren't so hot re: the shinyness they don't look all that shiny in real life... I had the flash on and I still haven't varnished them yet. I have had trouble getting hold of GW varnish out here in whakatane NZ however I can get hold of something called Krystal Kote Matt spray varnish. Has anyone heard of this? Is it any good? Anyway the recipe for the nicotine cream colour:
skull white rotting flesh devlan mud [wash] gryphonne sepia [wash] scorched brown [shading] rotting flesh/skull white [drybush] skull white [glaze] skull white [edge highlight]
As for the cleanliness - I wanted to models' detail to speak for themselves. Plus I'm not keen on over the top paint jobs. The tank does need some weathering but I'm willing to hold out until I get some weathering powders. Or I get better at painting in general. Whichever comes first!

Clean is a good look, I like the color scheme and absolutely love models that are not submerged in green-stuff. Damn good job there!!

A little too trim for my nurgley tastes. But what's done is good. Just not Nurgle imo.

Re: Death Guard 2nd Grand Company
Very cool color scheme. Models look great and like already stated, not bathed in green stuff and still look top notch. Very motivational. I would appreciate if i could steal some of your ideas for mine. Mainly the heads...love the helmets, where did you get them from?

Models look awesome! I am a fan of the not completely green deathguard, it adds some flavor.
