 Re: Tristan Hoag's Plague Marines
Those guys are nice. The daemon prince is awsome. I really like the head. It is soo different. possible to get a frontal shot of the daemon head?

 Re: Tristan Hoag's Plague Marines
Thanks, guys!
@ Erysipelas Pemphigus: I took a shot of the front of the face, but it ended up blurry. I will try to take another when I get the chance...
@ Nurglephill: I have assembled three more Plague Marine squads, two Landraiders and two Raptor squads. I will hopefully be getting started converting and painting them soon. I eventually will start work on my Plaguereaper (once I find a suitable pus tank!), but right now I am finding myself distracted by a Daemonically Posessed Predator...

 Re: Tristan Hoag's Plague Marines
I did see that the Apocalypse contest was ongoing - I don't know if I will have enough time between now and the 28th to get it into even a viable WIP stage... though I may have to try! (okay, twist my arm...)

 Re: Tristan Hoag's Plague Marines
Wow! I never thought of it that way - I thought of it as a large growth over his head that had split open to reveal veins/muscle underneath... hehehehe... I'll never look at that guy the same way again!

 Re: Tristan Hoag's Plague Marines
@ Mangamax: Please, feel free to use any ideas that you like! @Mortius: I really just stuck a bunch of green stuff to them and carved veins, rips, holes and bubbles onto them. I usually tried to get two or three large features on each section (a few large boils, a row of holes, etc.) and then filled in the spaces between with some details. I have some in progress pieces showing the green stuff work in more detail. Painting was primarily drybrushing with a black ink wash afterwards. The armor is Cat in a Can Green with a lighter drybrush over it (I did a mixed pot of Cat in a Can Green and Skull White so I could keep the mix consistent through the army...) Next I painted all of the diseased areas Scorched Brown, with a drybrush of Bestial Brown. The pustules were then picked out with Dark Flesh, drybrushed Blood Red, then Fiery Orange (I think!), then Sunburst Yellow. The black ink wash helps to tidy up some of the drybrushing, and pick out details, all while darkening all the colors a touch. Thanks again for all the feedback!
