Post Erik's "Phill should paint Mice too!" blog
Well these new skavens are to cool to resist! I got some stormvermin before christmas and now I have assembled a few of them and slapped on some paint. Basically I will not try and make a army of them just enjoy painting some of the different units. So far there are only very small conversions and I have instead put my effort into making the bases themed and trying some new techniques when painting.

The paint scheme is very vanilla but I tried to make them look gritty. Bases still needs some touchups and the minis as well, especially the mice and rats on the bases as some of them only are basecoated (btw the mice are made from GS). Some static grass (brownish greeng) will be added when the unit is done. Well onto the pics

I have been workin on a exam latley and that have eaten alot of my time, still whenever I take a break from writing I have painted some, not that much really but here's some progress.

Image

Red and white is done, still needs some mud splatters, grime, dust and such. armour is almost done and the bases have been started still they have a long way to go.

and last a picture to show how they rank up

I hope to finish these within two weeks but still there is so mcuh detail and I still have the fur and skin to do as well as adding and painting shields.

Thanks for the comments and I hope to be back with a update in a not to distant future.

Cheers :bum:

Well not really an update but got some news.

I will be painting a my hovercraft is full of eels furnance for a friend and I have quite some techniques that I want to use on it and the mini itself is just gorgeous!

I decided to only build and paint 15 of the stormvermin for now as I want to keep 5 for conversion material. I have plans for a character in armour, a posion wind globader and a bsb so far.

First thing to get once these rats are done would be rat swarms and then some slaves/clanrats
Cheers

++Update++

Nothing much nor fancy, just some shields that I finished during the exam period.
Image
Some of the freehand needs some adjusting but they are about done.
Tomorrow if I have the time I will try and finish the skin on half of them.

Cheers and thanks for looking
