 What is up?!
New 40k player here. Just started out with CSM and decided to hit up some Death Guard for my first army. My friends pulled me into this hobby, there's eight of us total, all playing different armies. I have only played a couple games with them so far but I think we have the rules down now.
For an HQ I've been using Typhus and a Terminator Lord. Christmas will bring me a daemon prince with wings, however.
I have a box of plague marines I've already painted, and I'm converting 2 boxes of CSM with greenstuff to be more plague marines. I don't like how the PM boxes don't come with icons!
I also have 5 terminators that I've greenstuff out. And a dreadnought and one rhino that are all nurgled up. I'll post some pictures in the correct forum to show what I've been up to. I haven't painted anything since I was like nine years old though, but I don't think they're looking too bad.
I also use a box of zombies from the Vampire Counts army in Fantasy Warhammer as my lesser daemons. Zombies in space > all.
For Christmas, due to the recession and money being in short supply, I plan on getting that prince along with more transports. I'm up in the air between getting straight up rhinos or mixing it up with 2 rhinos and 2 land raiders total. I'm also looking into another box of plague marines.
In the games I've played with my friends, terminators have been my ace up my sleeve. I've been deepstriking them onto heavy weapons and vehicles and haven't lost any really to my enemies. Plague marines are my "you can shoot but you can't kill" troops that I've been using to sit on capture points and hide in cover. The only unit I've come across that totally out matched my plague marines has been Smelldar harlequins...but my terminators ate them up later.
I look forward to stealing your knowledge in the future...be it given to me willfully, or from eating your brains...
Edit: Haha @ Smelldar...

 Re: What is up?!
Hey Sink. I normally do tricks, but here's a balloon instead. Godsakes, don't let it pop, though. I'm not saying how it was inflated.
Post some pics! We're all very visual around here. Don't worry about the icons, they can be anything. My buddy plays DA and his bikes just 'have' homing beacons. We're a pretty relaxed playing group though. You'll really enjoy that Prince once you get him.

 Re: What is up?!
I'm descended from Swedish vikings actually. Pretty random. But that just means I like drinking and destroying stuff really. Oh...and I'm rather large.

 Re: What is up?!
3 inch is NOT 'hung'. PS real vikings were about 5 feet tall at best.
